No BS Parent Education Sessions
Launching Wednesday 6th May, 2026 - 630pm - 730pm
Award-winning for a reason.
No BS Parent Education was born from the Prawn Tank winning pitch at the Ballina Chamber International Women’s Day event and designed to give parents real strategies that work in real life.
This program was recognised for its practical, real-world approach to supporting families - no jargon, no shame, just strategies that actually work.
❋ Who it's for
Parents, carers, grandparents, support workers…
Anyone who needs support with managing after-school meltdowns, big feelings, demand avoidance, sensory challenges, “everything is a battle”
❋ What makes it "No BS"
Workshop, not lecture
Parents bring real scenarios; we problem solve live
Scripts + tools: “what to say/do in the moment”
Doable in real life: time-poor, tired, imperfect households
Parents as the intervention: “therapy by proxy” - change happens daily, not just in sessions
Neuroaffirming + trauma-informed: focus on felt-safety, connection, nervous system, communication under stress
